A downloadable game
Another Pixel game to temper those fidgeting fingers.
Early days for this one while I practice new styles and as always and comments no matter how abusive are always welcome.
I'm always looking for tips on my progress, if there's anything I can add to improve it please let me know.
current issues I'm having:
The Score display is the first bug that's bothering me:- attaching the the current score to the Label without getting a fault, however the end score and the highscore both appear correct. I'm guessing it's something simple I'm missing as I'm calling the right signal but not reading it right.
I haven't put much time into the Parallax scrolling background yet and would like add a load of other elements to it, so I'm open to any good tips or experience to share.
Also not a bug perse, but I'd like to introduce an options menu that works to adjust some of the base settings in my games. So far I can call different scenes and have buttons for that but not to effect the gameplay in any way.
Enemy's that follow a pattern like in the old versions of this game plus having specific enemies drop power ups... or maybe even a shop to upgrade the ship?
I'm sure there's more but please let me know if you see something to fix/add.
If you have read this far then thank you so much for showing interest, I'm just starting out but things are gathering pace and there will be more fully fleshed out games (plus lots of janky nonsense too) once I've gotten my head around some of the more interesting parts of game dev coding.
